Memorial Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Nolan Smith, 88, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 7, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. John Rushing and Dr. Woods Watson officiating.

Mr. Smith was born on July 8, 1929, in Crowville, LA and passed away on August 5, 2017. He served in the United States Army and was the owner of Franklin Furniture in Tallulah, LA for over 30 years. Mr. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA since 2001. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan, loved gardening and grilling. Mr. Smith coached baseball for many years in the Tallulah Little League. His fondest memories are stories of trips with his family to Panama City Beach, FL. He loved Little Debbie Snack Cakes.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Gayle Cantwell Smith; children, Suzanne Smith, Daniel Lynn Smith, Kenneth Emile Smith and wife, Susan Ann Maas and John Cantwell Smith; grandchildren, Mark Benjamin Cooper, Richard Alan Cooper and wife, Charlene, Monetress Tran and husband, Kei, Alexander Ryan Smith and wife, Dena, David Keelan Smith and Andrew Jarod Smith; great grandchildren, Landry Kate Cooper, Aiden Tran and one on the way.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until Service Time on Monday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
