All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Leroy Smith Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 29, 1971 Leroy Smith Sr. dies; rites held Monday Leroy Smith Sr., 79. of Tallulah, died Sunday at Delta Haven here after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 4 p. m. Monday in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home here with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery here. Arrangements were under the direction of Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Rayville. Mr. Smith was a native of Fayetteville, Tenn. and had resided in Tallulah for some 25 years. He was a cattleman and farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. He was also a World War I veteran. Survivors include his widow. Mrs. Alwine Mulhearn Smith: a son. Leroy Smith Jr.: and one daughter, Miss Caroline A. Smith: all of Tallulah.
