"Bud" Smith - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 19, 1985 Funeral services for Jessie J. "Bud" Smith, 82, were at 2 p.m. Friday at Crothers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. O.B. Robertson officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. He died Thursday at his home after a short illness. He was a native of Mer Rouge and had been a resident of Madison Parish for the past 56 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Midway Baptist Church of Waverly. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vergie Smith of Tallulah; one brother, Cecil Smith of Waverly; and a number of nieces and nephews.
