All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Jessie Smith - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal November 12, 1997 Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Smith, age 85, were held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mrs. Smith died Saturday, Nov. 8. 1997, in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. She was born in Brookhaven, Miss., and had lived in Tallulah for 72 years. She co-owned and operated Ideal Flower Shop from 1946 until 1994. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tallulah. Survivors include one son, J. Carl Smith of Tallulah; one grandson, Jason Smith of Tallulah; one granddaughter, Ashley Smith of Tallulah: and two nieces. Pallbearers were Phillip Crothers, Jim Folk, John Rogan, Marlin Tucker, M. C. Stone and Mike Rome. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah was in charge of arrangements
