TILLAR -- Johniece E. Smith, 88, of Tillar, died Wednesday at Chicot Memorial Hospital at Lake Village.

She was born June 30, 1915, at Tallulah, La., a daughter of the late Alva Lusk and Elizabeth Pendarvis Lusk.

She was a self-employed cosmetologist and a member of Tillar Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Smith Jr.

Survivors include one son, Breck Smith of Tillar; one daughter, Nancy Jolly of Dermott; one brother, Jack 
Lusk of Apache, Okla.; one sister, Elsie Blackwell of Tallahassee, Fla.; five grandchildren; and eight 
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Tillar Baptist Church with the Rev. Houston Austin officiating. 
Burial will be in Tillar Cemetery by Griffin Funeral Service of McGehee.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
