Smith - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 6, 1986 Services for Mrs. Irene H. Smith, 83, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crothers Funeral Home chapel in Tallulah with the Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Smith died Saturday at the Physicians and Surgeons Hospital in Shreveport after a long illness. She was a native of Goliad, Texas and a resident of Tallulah for the last 60 years. She was a homemaker, a former employee of Abrom's Department Store and a member of Tallulah Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, George L. Smith Jr. of Shreveport; one sister, Beatrice Marth of Victoria, Texas; one nephew, Billy Swanson of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
