All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Hodge Smith - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 23, 1968 Funeral Services Held Sunday For Hodge Smith Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 p. m. at Crothers Funeral Home for Mr. Hodge Smith who died last Saturday morning in a Vicksburg Hospital following a long illness. A native of Farmerville, Mr. Smith had been a cattleman for 41 years near Mound in Madison Parish. A member of the Baptist Church, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mittie Smith; one son, P. J. Smith of Delta; three daughters; Mrs. Helen Dearmon, of New Orleans, Mrs. Pauline Mobley of Transylvania, Mrs. Frances McKay of Vicksburg; four sisters, Mrs. Julia Ann Stanley, Mrs. Helen Clack, both of Oak Ridge, Mrs. Louella Victory of Mer Rouge, Mrs Ola Harris of Bastrop; one brother, Dink Smith of Tallulah and 11 grandchildren. The Rev. Bobby Brown officiated. Interment was held in Providence Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Artie Skeldon, Sherwin Skeldon, James Edward Smith, James Wilson, Carneal Woodycar, and Bobby Flanagan.
