All rights reserved. ************************************************ Harmon “Hoss” Smith - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, February 2, 2004 TALLULAH — Harmon “Hoss” Smith died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. He was 78. Born in Jonesboro, La., Mr. Smith had lived in Madison Parish for 52 years. He retired from Chicago Mill & Lumber Co. and owned and operated Smith Grocery in Tallulah. He was an army veteran of World War II and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Carolyn Davis Smith of Tallulah; two sons, Gary W. Smith of St. Joseph and Michael Lynn Smith of Tallulah; a sister, Autie Mae Wells of Jonesboro; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Cletus Moak and Dr. Kelly Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah. Pallbearers will be Bruce Wallace, Aaron Wallace, Brad Wallace, Lester Skelton, Steve Green and Herbert Wilkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Randolph and John Bowlin.
