Smith Dies Suddenly At Delhi Clinic Curley Charles Smith, age 53, died suddenly at the Delhi Clinic Friday, November 26 at 2:30 a. m. Mr. Smith had gone to the clinic for treatment and died while sitting in a chair. A native of Peoria, Ill., he has resided in Madison Parish for 28 years at Tendal and was a veteran of World War I. Funeral services were held Sunday evening at 2:30 p. m. with the Rev. Clyde Williams, pastor of Willow Bayou Baptist Church officiating. Interment was held in the Masonic Cemetery in Delhi with Young's Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Buck Sheppard, Thedora Simon, Baxter McDonald, J. J. Smith, Tommy Trichell and Sidney Floyd. He is survived by his wife, Nina of Tendal; three sons, Charles, Jr., of Beaumont, Texas and Bill and Pat of Tendal; one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Sykes, Beaumont Texas, and three grandchildren.
