Charles Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Round Grove Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 in the Chapel of Good Samaritan Funeral Home. Mrs. Simpson passed away on September 2, 2007 after a brief illness. She was born February 27, 1937 in Lake Providence, LA. She was a native of Tallulah, LA and a resident of Shreveport. She was a member of the Kingdom of Jehovah's Witness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Simpson, Sr.; parents Daisey & Fannie Virgil; sisters, Daisy Mae Virgil, Leona Flower, Lillie Virgil; 2 brothers, Luther Virgil, J.P. Virgil; 2 grandchildren, Quinus Simpson, Demion Bush; 2 sisters-in-law, Gertrude Simpson, Maggie Simpson and one daughter-in-law, Helen Jean Simpson. She is survived by 7 children: Amos Simpson, Jr. (Linda), Chester Simpson (Gloria), Micheal Simpson Regina), Dennis Simpson (Denise), Virginia Simpson Field (Nathaniel), Sherry Fuller (Clinton), and Jessica Simpson; 6 sisters: Elnora Jennings, Nona Berry, Jannie Jenkins, Annie Shepherd (Micheal), Fannie Jenkins, Lena Nabors (Jerry); 1 brother, Daisy Virgil (Olivia); 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Mozell Jones, Dorothy George, Margie Fagan; brother-in-law, Willie Smith; special f riends, Jessie Mae Cooper, Aunt Tilley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
