All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Jesse Simmons - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 21, 1987 Services for Mr. Jesse Simmons, 86, of Tallulah were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah with Rev. O. B. Robertson and Rev. Mike Howard officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Simmons died Thursday Jan. 15 at Delta Haven Nursing Home in Tallulah after a short illness. He was a native of Georgia, a resident for Tallulah for 35 years, a retired security guard and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lottie Simmons of Tallulah; two sons. Newtie Simmons of Tallulah and Jerry Lee Simmons of Vicksburg: three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Kauffman of Anniston. Alabama, Mrs. Brenda Manning of Monroe and Mrs. Anne Whitley of Tallulah: 40 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 38 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Joe Williamson, Ray Coody, Brady Kimbell, Richard Marshall, Ray Jobe. Bobby Mosley, Chris Coody and Jerry Clarke.
