All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Jessie Wall Shields - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 19, 1984 Services for Mrs. Jessie Wall Shields, 74, were at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Lake Providence Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Gordon Raynal officiating. Burial was in Lake Providence City Cemetery under direction of Cox Funeral Home of Lake Providence. Mrs. Shields died Saturday in Mercy Hospital in Vicksburg, Miss., after a long illness. She was the former co-owner of Shields Dress Shop in Tallulah and a member of Lake Providence Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one brother, Stanley A. Wall of West Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Adeline Couch of Tallulah, Mrs. Elma McMichael of Point Blank, Texas, and Mrs. Ottilie Cook of Houston; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Tom Shields III, Harry Shields, Roby Shields, Teddy Shields, Stan R. Wall and Bobby Rush.
