(Hootie) Shelton Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 19, 1976 Horace E. (Hootie) Shelton Jr., 58, Bayou Drive, died early Wednesday morning his residence, apparently of a heart attack. Mr. Shelton was a member of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church. He was a native of Winnsboro and a lifelong resident of Tallulah. Funeral services will be held today in the chapel of Crothers Funeral with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Shirley Shelton of Tallulah; two stepsons, Jeffery Gordon and Joe Gordon, both of Tallulah; two uncles, Dan Smith of Delhi; C.A. Shelton of Monroe; three aunts, Mrs. Minnie Tucker of Monroe; Mrs. A. F. Ragland of Monroe, and Mrs. Mattie Kogan of Ft. Worth, Tex. and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mac Cagnolatti, Odo Cagnolatti, Mac Cagnolatti Jr., Roe Cagnolatti, David Cagnolatti and E. B. Towne.
