All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Frank Shelton, Madison Parish, Louisiana September 1, 1956 ~ January 4, 2019 (age 62) From Glenwood Funeral Home January 6, 2019 Funeral services for Mr. Frank Shelton, age 62, will be Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Tallulah with Rev. Henry Stone and Rev. Jimmy Wilkins officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Frank was a lifelong resident of Tallulah, an active member of First United Methodist Church, and spent his career with the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Department. He was a witty, easygoing man who had a way with words, often writing parodies, jokes, and stand up comedy skits. He had a passion for aviation, in particular Warbirds and other planes of the past. He loved traveling and visited over 19 National Parks including his favorite, Yellowstone. He enjoyed watching Saints and LSU football as well as NASCAR. He loved making friends on social media. Most of all, Frank was a family man. He cherished his “redheaded wife” and his “darling daughter”. He felt extremely blessed to have a pilot as a son-in-law and he adored his two grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Mattie Shelton. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sherri Shelton, daughter, Lauren Laughman (Brandon), grandson, Camden Laughman, granddaughter, Eliza Laughman, sister, Sherrill Kelly (Andy), mother and father-in-law, Betty and Bill Stevenson, brother-in-law, Andrew Stevenson, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Craig Cox, Don DeWeese, Steve Gustafson, Buster McCoy, Andrew Stevenson, and Tim Winstead. Honorary pallbearers will be the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Department.
