Sharplin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 3, 1988 Funeral services for Mr. Billy M. Sharplin, 35, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Pentecostal Church with Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Sharplin was killed Thursday afternoon in an automobile accident just south of Tallulah. He was a lifelong resident of Tallulah, a house painter, an Army veteran and a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Tallulah. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia Sharplin of Tallulah; one son, Keith M. Sharplin of Tallulah; one daughter, Kelly Leigh Sharplin of Tallulah; his mother. Mrs. Maggie Sharplin of Tallulah; two brothers, Dale Sharplin of Tallulah and Thomas Sharplin of Carthage, Ms.; three half-brothers, Kelly Sharplin, Jimmy D. Sharplin and Horace Sharplin, all of Mississippi; one half-sister, Mary Shaffer of Jackson, Ms. Pallbearers were James Ghrigsby, Herman L. Ghrigsby Jr., Bill King, James Rinicker, Theo Watson and Benney Graves.
