All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Archie Vonzhel Sharpe - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 1, 1987 Funeral services for Mr. Archie Vonzhel Sharpe, 60, were Tuesday, March 24 at 11 a.m. at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage, Tex. Burial was in Restland Memorial Park. Mr. Sharpe died Sunday, March 22 at Panola General Hospital. He was a native of Madison Parish, a veteran of World War II and a self-employed crop duster most of ,his life. He had been a resident of Carthage since 1982, where he had retired as an electrician with Sharpe Electric Co. He was a member of the Tallulah First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette O. Sharpe of Carthage; four daughters, Vonette S. Tully of Garland, Tex., Kim S. Doyle of Newellton, Sherri E. Sharpe of Ft. Carson, Col., and Shannon E. Sharpe of Ft. Lee, Virginia; one brother, John D. Sharpe of Marshall, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred McCready of Monroe and Mrs. Claudine Osborne of Tallulah; and four grandsons. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
