Shadburne, mother of Mrs. N. W. Muir (nee Shadburne) of Bardstown, Kentucky., George D. Jr., Leonard. A., Wade Hampton, and W. R. A. Shadburne and the late Ada Mary and Gertrude Julia Shadburne, and sister of Captain Adolph Grivot of New Orleans, La.(Bardstown, Ky., and New Orleans papers please copy.) Funeral will take place Friday June 17, from St. Mary's (Paulist) Church, corner of California and Dupont streets, where a requiem high mass will be said for the repose of her soul, commencing at 9 o'clock. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery." NOTE: Ada Maher Shadburne grew up in Milliken's Bend during the period immediately before and after the Civil War.
