All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Dr. Sherrill Sevier - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 7, 1928 It was with regret that people of this community learned yesterday of the death of Dr. Sherrill Sevier which occurred Thursday night at Street Sanitarium in Vicksburg. Dr. Sevier had been extremely ill for some time, but it was hoped that with excellent medical skill to attend him he would recover. Dr. Sevier had only recently graduated from a medical school at Memphis and had not yet located to practice his profession. He was 24 years of age. He was the son of the late Geo. W. Sevier and Mrs. Geo. W. Sevier of Tallulah, the latter surviving him together with three brothers and one sister; Dr. H. C. Sevier. Mr. Geo. W. Sevier, Jr., Mr. A. L. Sevier and Mrs. T. P. Cassidy of Tucson, Ariz., and many other relatives. His remains were brought to Tallulah yesterday and taken to the home of his mother, Mrs. Geo. W. Sevier of Evergreen Plantation where the funeral services will be held this morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will take place in Silver Cross Cemetery after the funeral services. The Journal joins friends in extending to the family their heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement.
