All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Betty Woodard Sevier-Evans - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Crothers-Clenwood Funeral Home January 21, 2018 Betty Woodard Sevier-Evans, 88, of Tallulah, Louisiana, passed away on January 20, 2018, at Olive Branch Nursing Home in Tallulah, Louisiana. Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 at First United Methodist Church in Tallulah, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on January 22, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Tallulah with Bro. Henry Stone and Bro. Johnny Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia, Louisiana. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah will be handling the funeral arrangements. Betty was born in Minden, Louisiana to Marshall and Bernice McNeely Woodard on August, 19, 1929. She went to Arcadia High School and graduated in 1946. She went on to graduate from her beloved Louisiana State University with a Major in Spanish and a minor in English. Betty was the first female Page in the Louisiana State Senate and loved spending time at the Capitol with her Dad. She also enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and taking care of her flower gardens. While all these things were important to Betty, her favorites were dogs and her LSU Tigers. Betty is survived by her sons, Marshall Sevier (Sharon) and Mike Sevier (Linda), and her daughter, Nancy Sevier, her grandchildren, Amy Hanlon (Michael), Kris Sevier, Ashley Kilpatrick (Sean), Andy Sevier, Warren Sevier (Ashley), Emily Stokes (Dave), and Melissa McKay, her great-grandchildren, Andrew Sevier, Anna Sevier, Orlan Sevier, Bradley Hanlon, Steven Hanlon, Neely Kilpatrick, Birdie Kilpatrick, Morgan Kilpatrick, Gabrielle Stokes, and Jonathan Stokes. She is preceded in death by her father, Marshall E. Woodard and her mother, Bernice McNeely Woodard, her first husband, Warren J. “Dottie” Sevier, her second husband, Bill Newcomer, and her third husband, Dr. Edwin Evans. Pallbearers will be Bill Paxton, Spencer Sevier, Dennis Gardner, Todd Kennedy, Keith Post, and Keith Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Cooper, Glen Averett, Robert Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Roger Johnson, Jim Johnson, and William Johnson.
