La. - Services for Barton M. Sevier were planned at 2 p m. today at Tallulah First United Methodist Church with Ned Stout and the Rev. Rubert Coles officiating. Burial will be in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. He was 75. Mr. Sevier died Wednesday night at his home after a short illness. He was a life long resident of Tallulah, a deputy tax assessor of Madison Parrish, a World War II Army Air Force Veteran, and a member of Scott-Nichols-Voak Post No. 100 of the American Legion. He was a member of Tallulah First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife. Mrs. Agatha L. Sevier of Tallulah, two brothers. W.P. Sevier Jr. and James D. Sevier of Tallulah; three sisters, Mrs. Laura S. Donald of Jennings La., Mrs. W. W. Ziegler Sr. and Mrs. E. E. Warwick, both of Tallulah. Pallbearers are W. W. Ziegler Jr., James D. Sevier Jr., Dr. John Ziegler, David Donald, Dan Donald, Don Walter, J. K. Post and Henry C. Sevier Jr. Honorary Pallbearers were the employees of Madison Parrish Courthouse, Dr. H. S. Provine, Judge C. C. Adams and Richard P. Sevier. Family requests memorial be made to Tallulah First United Methodist Church or the Silver Cross Beautification Fund.
