All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Griffin Selden - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 15, 1930 The sudden death of Griffin Selden, which occurred Tuesday night, was a shock to a host of friends in Tallulah where he spent his childhood and where he had many sincere friends. He was found in his room Wednesday morning in Sibley, Louisiana, where he was employed, death having occurred during the night from an acute illness. His body was brought to Tallulah evening and funeral services will be from the home of Mayor D. H. Allen Thursday afternoon. Mr. Selden is survived by his father, Mr. John Selden of Transylvania. La., a sister, Mrs. James Powell of Utica, Miss., and three brothers, Jack, Winston and Minge Selden.
