All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Nancy Scurria - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 3, 1974 Mrs. Nancy Scurria Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Nancy Scurria, who died Friday afternoon in the parish hospital after a lengthy illness. Services were held at 10 a.m. in St. Edward's Catholic Church with Father Giles officiating and burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Scurria was a native of Cefalu, Sicily, and had resided in Tallulah for 60 years. She was a member of the St. Edward's Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Philip J. Scurria and Sam J. Scurria, both of Tallulah; four daughters, Mrs. Tony Gilberto of Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Joe Gilberto, of Burbank, Calif., Mrs. Sidney O'Neal of Monroe and Miss Jennie Marie Scurria of Tallulah; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Louis Tonore, Barton Sevier, Bill Colligan, Carrol Crow, Maurice Ursery and H. C. Sevier, Jr. A Christian wake service was held in the funeral home 6:30 p.m. Friday.
