K. Scott Laid To Rest Monday Morning Long Time Resident Of Madison Parish Dies Saturday After A Long Illness Mrs. Vinyard Kefauver Scott, 88, widow of the late Walter M. Scott, well-known plantation owner, died late Saturday after a long illness. She was a native of Madisonville, Tenn. In 1886 she moved to Delhi and a few years later moved to Madison Parish. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Episcopal Church. Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at 10:00 A. M. at her home with Rev. J. Daniel Gilliam of Thibodeaux, officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Emmett Craig, J. H. Bryant, Harry L. Holt, W. Z. Adams, D. D. Devine, J. C. Sherwin, R. C. Gaines and Dr. H. S. Provine. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John B. Patrick, of Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. John C. Johns, and a brother, Cook Kefauver, of Madisonville, Tenn. Three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
