All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ John Scott - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 23, 1984 Services for John Scott, 80, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. Harry Xxxxxx officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Scott died Monday at his residence after a long illness. He was a native of Wilkerson County, Miss. and a resident of Madison Parish for 70 years. He was a retired farmer and cattleman, and a member of the Xxxxxx faith. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Xxxxx Scott of Tallulah; three sons, John H. Scott of Bossier City, William Scott of Greenville, Miss., and George Scott of Vicksburg, Miss.: six daughters, Mrs. Alma Rollins of Winnsboro, Mrs. Helen Breedlove and Mrs. Anne Morgan, both of Bossier City, Mrs. Rose Moore of Tallulah, Mrs. Marion Hillman of Lucedale, Miss., and Mrs. Opal Self of West Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Mittie Wilson of Waco, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association Emphysema Research Department.
