All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Joan Kathan Scott - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 25, 1999 Funeral services for Mrs. Joan Kathan Scott, 79, of Tallulah, were held Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, in the First United Methodist Church in Tallulah with Rev. Fred Fulton officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Scott died at her home in Tallulah on Monday morning, Aug. 23. She was a life-long resident of Madison Parish, and was a graduate of Tallulah High School. She was also a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, and attended and graduated from Southern Methodist University. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Mrs. Scott was a housewife and member of the First United Methodist Church of Tallulah. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, the late Walter Marley Scott, Jr. Survivors include: One daughter, Susan Scott Guimbellot, Tallulah; two sons, Walter M. Scott. III and Joseph Kathan Scott, both of Tallulah: five grandchildren, Scotty Scott, Jackson, Miss, Tracy Scott Weems, Mangham, La., Shaune Scott Abendroth, Lafayette. La., Brittany and Joseph Kathan Scott, both of Tallulah and one niece, Lee Craig Dearman, Hattiesburg, Miss. Pallbearers were: Calvin Adams, Charles Beene, Nap Book, Mac Cagnolatti, Joe Cupit, Ronnie Parker, Keith Post and Lum Storey. Honorary pallbearers were: Judge Clifford C. Adams, Warren S. Patrick, Salo Abrahm, Edgar Lancaster, Collins Thomas, Jack Folk, Jack Gilbert, Jeff Thomas, Ralph Dowe, Louis Nettles, Robert Kivett and Billy Post.
