All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Avis Mae Scott - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 13, 1992 Funeral services for Mrs. Avis Mae Scott, 82, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Herman Savoie officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Scott died Friday at Glenwood Medical Center in West Monroe. She was born in Mississippi and had lived in Madison Parish for 70 years. She was a housewife and a charter member of Mound Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, John H. Scott of Bossier City, William T. Scott of Greenville, Miss. and George W. Scott of Vicksburg; five daughters, Alma M. Rollins of Winnsboro, Helen V Breedlove and Anne Morgan, both of Bossier; Rose Moore of Tallulah and Opal Self of West Monroe; two brothers, Rayford Freeman of Homer and Decator Freeman of Tallulah; one sister; Mildred Dean of Lake Providence; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers were John Rollins, Brian Scott, Glen Breedlove, John Scott, Clyde Self and Rusty Hillman. Memorials may be made to Mound Baptist Church.
