All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Meta Lang Sargent - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 7, 1953 Mrs. Meta Sargent Rites Held Monday At Baptist Church Funeral services were held at 10:30 a. m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Tallulah for Mrs. Meta Lang Sargent, 46, who died suddenly at her home Saturday morning. Services were conducted by Rev. Shirley Briggs. Interment followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were H. W. Massey, W. H. Erickson, Claude Grimes, Norman Gayle, Lloyd Shelton and Edgar Lancaster, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Arnold Sargent, and several nieces and nephews. A native of Nebraska, Mrs. Sargent had resided in Tallulah for the past seven years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
