Salmon - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, June 17, 1955 Salmon Is Buried In Local Cemetery, Former Resident Funeral services were hold for Charlie C. Salmon on Monday, June 13, at the Crothers Funeral Chapel. Salmon died Thursday night, June 9 in a Monroe hospital following a long illness. He was 56 years old and formerly of Tallulah. Services were conducted by the Rev. W. F. Mayo and interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gertie Mae Salmon, Choudrant; one son, George Salmon, station with the U. S. Air Force in Maine; and one grandchild. Salmon was a member of the Church of God and had lived in Tallulah for 22 years, prior to entering a Ruston hospital several years ago. Pallbearers included I. O. Byrd, Albert Walker, Bill Welch, John Decker and E. D. Hutson, Sr.
