All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Florencia Lopez Saldana - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home November 30, 2014 Mrs. Florencia Lopez Saldana, age 88, passed away on November 27, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. Her funeral mass will be Monday, December 1, 2014, at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Tallulah, La., at 10:00 A. M., with Father Mathews officiating. The mass will be preceded with the rosary service from 8:00 to 10:00 A. M. Visitation will be Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 P. M., at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, La. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Saldana was born on May 10, 1926 in Texas and had lived in Madison Parish since 1951. She was a homemaker and mother to ten children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She loved to be outside with her flowers and walking around her garden. She always had a warm hug for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by four sons, Joe E. Saldana of Vicksburg, Ms., Alejandro ( Louise) Saldana of Tallulah, La., Juan Saldana of Many, La., Gilibaldo ( Darlene) Saldana Sr. of Tallulah, La., and six daughters, Angelita ( Juan) Hernandez of Monroe, La., Josephina ( L. C. ) Hodge of Mangham, La., Estefana ( Michael) Wicker, Jula Bridges, Louisa ( Ernest ) Whitehead, all of Vicksburg, Ms., and Esperancia Grigsby of Tallulah, La., 37 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Mrs. Saldana is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Juana Lopez, her husband of 63 years, Jose A. Saldana, two brothers, Domingo Lopez and Antonio Lopez and two sisters, Manuela Pena and Guadeloupe Gonzales, 1granddaughter, Destiney Saldana, and 1 son in law, Larry Bridges. Pallbearers will be Oscar Hernandez, Marcus Wicker, Matthew Bingham, Cody Bridges, Jesse Lopez, and Ernest Whitehead. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Saldana, Juan Marcus Hernandez, Samuel McPherson, Justin McPherson, Lonzo Hodge, John Richard McPherson, Joey Saldana, David Saldana, Gilibaldo Saldana Jr., A. J. Saldana, Jonathan Whitehead, Juan M. Saldana, Joshua Saldana, and Joseph Saldana.
