All rights reserved. ************************************************ Benigno Saldana - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, December 28, 2005 TALLULAH - Benigno Saldana died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. He was 75. Mr. Saldana was born in Mercedes, Texas, and had lived in Madison Parish since 1949. He was a retired farmer and a member of First Baptist Church of Tallulah. He is survived by eight sons, Rauel Saldana, Felipe Saldana and Santiago Saldana, all of Tallulah, Gregorio Saldana and Miguel Saldana, both of Vicksburg, Julian Saldana of Baker, La., Benito Saldana of Port Barre, La., and Valente Saldana of Opelousas, La.; two daughters, Adelita Rodriguez of Opelousas and Lenor Self of Denham Springs, La.; a brother, Jose Saldana of Tallulah; three sisters, Angelina Morin and Armanda Rodriguez, both of Texas, and Felipa Lopez of Transylvania, La.; 34 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Agnes Keller officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home. Sons will serve as pallbearers.
