Saiewitz - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 1, 1982 Services for Dr. Sam B. Saiewitz, 79, of New Orleans were held March 24 at The Tharp-Sontheimer Funeral Home in New Orleans with the Rabbi Goldstein of Touro officiating. Burial will be in the Metairie Cemetery under the direction of Tharp-Sontheimer Funeral Home. Dr. Saiewitz was born in Darnell, Ark., and moved to Tallulah as a child. He was a 1926 graduate of the Tulane Medical School and a member of the staff of the LSU Medical School for 33 years. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Lazard Saiewitz; two daughters, Mrs. Jane Raacke and Mrs. Leslie Bingham and three grandchildren.
