Russ - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 23, 1989 Funeral services for Mr. Robert E. Russ, 90, were at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ramon Warren, Rev. William Christian Jr. and Rev. Robert Christian officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Russ died Wednesday, Aug. 16 in Lafayette following a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Tallulah. He was a retired postal worker and a member of the Tallulah First United Methodist Church. He was the grandson of Robert Edwin Russ, founder of the city of Ruston. Survivors include one daughter, Sybil Christian of Lafayette; three sisters, Beatrice Rogillio and Mae Curtis, both of Tallulah and Mary Sneed of Shreveport; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Edgar Lott, Myron Erwin, Ira Hugh Ervin, Bill Colligan, Jon Burchardt and Riley Curtis.
