All rights reserved. ************************************************ Vivian Eugenia Farmer Rushing - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Madison Journal, May 1986 Mrs. Vivian Eugenia Farmer Rushing died at the Saint Joseph Nursing Home in Monroe, LA on May 11, 1986. She had lived there for the past 6 years. She was 81 years old. Mrs. Rushing was born on July 1, 1904 to William Joseph and Nancy Malinda Carpenter Farmer in Crystal Springs, MS. Mrs. Rushing came to Louisiana around 1924 and lived in Tallulah and in the Tallulah area until 1980. She was a homemaker who raised 9 children. She showed absolute love for each her of children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Rushing was preceded in death, by her loving and devoted husband, Roy Rushing, of over 56 years, two sons, Eugene and Emmette Edward, one daughter, Rachel Faye, and one daughter-in-law Eva Jean Rushing of Ferriday, LA. Her survivors include 5 sons; Kenneth Ray and wife Leona of Many, LA, Roy Lee and wife Danielle of Bossier City, LA, Marion Houston and his wife Shirley of Great Falls, MT., Thomas Larry and his wife Henrietta of Midwest City, OK, and Ronald J. and his wife Jane of Jackson, MS, Three Daughters; Evelyn Irene Machen of Shreveport, LA, Zelpha Mae Smith and her husband Billy Ray Smith of Monroe, and Joy Marie Walker and her husband Glen Walker of Monroe. She also had 24 grand children and numerous great grand children, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA and she was interred at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, LA.
