Roy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star November 1, 1956 TALLULAH, Nov. 1 (Special) — Funeral services for William J. Roy, 71, who died at Lake St. John Wednesday, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Willow Bayou Baptist church with Rev. James W. Crumpton officiating, assisted by Rev. Fred Wilson. Interment under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah will follow in the Silver Cross cemetery. Mr. Roy was born in Wilkerson [sic Wilkinson] County, Mississippi, had lived in Madison Parish for 27 years, and had been a resident of Ferriday for the past four years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nannie Ethel Roy; five daughters, Mrs. J. W. Jordan of Ferriday, Mrs. R. A. Hazen of Houston, Mrs. John B. James, Mrs. Novell Box, and Mrs. J. O. Mooney, all of Pasadena, Texas; two sons, W. J. Roy, Jr. of Ferriday, and R. B. Roy of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. C. C. Vines of Rosetta, Miss., Mrs. Sarah Vickers of Calif., and Mrs. Hattie R. Nettles, of Natchez; two brothers, Lane M. Roy of Natchez, and Garner E. Roy of Tallulah.
