Roy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 26, 1993 Funeral services were held recently for Mr. Max A. Roy, 70, of Crystal River, Fla. He died May 14 at St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla. Born in Wilkinson County, Miss., Mr. Roy saw service as a cryptographer in the Air Force in World War II and with the Iowa Air National Guard during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Iowa State University and a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Mr. Roy was a director of the Rowley Savings Bank of Rowley, Iowa. He was a correspondent banker in Iowa and Illinois for 38 years before retiring in 1992. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Roy of Crystal River; one brother, Lucian Roy of Tallulah; two children and two grandchildren, all of Charlotte, N.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elizabeth Reddig Lower School Library, Charlotte Country Day School, 1440 Carmel Road, Charlotte, N.C. 28226.
