Roy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 9, 1975 Funeral services for Garner E. Roy, Tallulah, were held at 2 p.m. in the Crothers Funeral Home here xxxday with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Roy died Monday night in the Delta Nursing Home here after a long illness. A native of Wilkerson County, Miss., he had resided in Madison xxx Parish years. Before his retirement he was employed by the Louisiana Department of Highways. He was also a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lois Murphy of Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Nettles of Natchez, Miss.; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charles Allen, Herbert Beard, Leroy Chambless, William Keller, Henry Hutto and Rosell Sanders.
