Roper, 92, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers. Mrs. Roper died Saturday at the Towne Oaks Nursing Center in Ruston. She was born in Epps and had lived In Tallulah for 54 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tallulah and had lived at Towne Oaks Nursing Center since January 1990. Survivors include three sons, W. R. Roper of Tallulah, Frank E. Roper of Harahan and H. Lee Roper of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Halene R. Roy of Ruston, Mary R. Bullock of St. Amant and Erma R. Taylor of Tallulah; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons Pete Roper, Robert Roy, Charles McCaskill, Dr. Larry McCaskill, Stan Taylor and David Roper.
