Rogan - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star October 5, 1938 TALLULAH, La., Oct. 5. - (Special) - The funeral of Irby L. Rogan, 64, a resident of Madison parish for 38 years, who died at his home in Barnes Tuesday morning, was held at Williams funeral chapel here Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. H. N. Alexander, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiated. Interment was in Silver Cross cemetery. Pallbearers were R. L. Russ, Frank Hewes, Noland Harvey, Abel Evans, S. B. Bettis and Jim Daniels. Mr. Rogan is survived by two brothers, H. A. and George Rogan, Madison parish, and a sister, Mrs. Eva Bernelle, Dallas, Tex. From Madison Journal October 7, 1938 Irby Rogan, 64, Dies Tuesday At Home At Barnes Irby L. Rogan, 64, a resident of Madison parish for 38 years, died at his home at Barnes, east of Tallulah, Tuesday after a long illness. Funeral services were held from the Williams Funeral Home here Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. H. N. Alexander, pastor of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment was in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Rogan has for many years been engaged in the farming business in this parish with his brother, George. He was well known and was listed as one of the older settlers of the parish. He is survived by two brothers, H. A., and George Rogan, of this parish, and a sister, Mrs. Eva Bernelle, of Dallas, Texas.
