Roberson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 30, 1955 Funeral Services For W. E. Roberson Held Monday Afternoon Funeral services for W. E. Roberson were held Monday afternoon at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Irvin Cheney officiating, assisted by the Rev. E. D. Smith, pastor of the Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Roberson, a resident of Madison Parish since 1929, died at his home Sunday morning of a heart attack. He was a native of Norfolk, Ark., and had been engaged in the farming business until two years ago, when he entered the refrigeration business with his son, Garland Roberson. He was a member of the Baptist Church and had served as a deacon for 35 years; he was also a member of the Tallulah Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Garland, Carl and Leonard, all of Tallulah; four daughters, Mrs. Stanley Harmon, Mrs. Lenell Bradley, Mrs. Clayton Cox and Mrs. J. W. Reeves, all of Tallulah; 21 grandchildren; two brothers, Milton Roberson, Urania, La., and A. E. Roberson, Dallas, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Nettie Pardue, Quitman, La., Mrs. Alma Chandle, Dodson, La., Mrs. Machie Jones, Crosett, Ark., Mrs. Jessie Zernon and Mrs. Effie Perkins, Texarkana, Texas.
