Ray, Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 9, 1997 Funeral services for Mr. A. C. Ray, Jr., age 68, were held at 3 p.m. today, July 6, in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Ray died early Saturday, July 5, 1997, at his residence in Edwards, Miss. He was a native of Stephenville, Texas, and had lived in Tallulah for several years. He was a farmer and had lived in Edwards, Miss., for one year. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Tallulah. Mr. Ray was a member of Royal Arch Masons and past president of the Madison Parish Cattleman's Association. Also, Mr. Ray served on the Madison Parish Police Jury from 1966 to 1970. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Codie L. Ray of Edwards, Miss.; two sons, Dr. Derris Ray of Amite, La., and Kolan Ray of Tallulah; one daughter, Merry Ray of Tallulah; one brother, C. W. Ray of Stephenville, Texas; one sister, Byrl Carr of Stephenville; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Edward Yerger, Gene Hicks, Terry Craft, Hal David, Dale Carr and Clayton Ray. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah was in charge of arrangements
