Purvis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 24, 1995 Funeral services for David A. Purvis were held at 4 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Charles Gaston and the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Purvis died Saturday, May 20, 1995, at L.S.U. Medical Center in Shreveport of injuries received in an auto accident Friday in Tallulah. He was 35. He was born in Alexandria, La., and was a lifelong resident of Madison Parish. He was a farmer and a member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Merri W. Purvis of Tallulah; one son, Jeremy Paul Purvis of Tallulah; one daughter, Jessica Dianne Purvis of Tallulah; his parents, Mary and Gene Brown of Tallulah and Barbara and Dan Purvis of Bastrop; three brothers, Edgar B. Purvis and Kevin M. Purvis of Tallulah, and Don Evans of Blytheville, Ark.; four sisters, Kaaren Lynch of Duncanville, Texas, Penny R. Razor of Blytheville, Ark., Kathy Hankins of Bastrop, Angela R. Hogard of Monroe; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
