Purdy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, May 17, 1963 Services Held Sunday For W. C. Purdy Funeral services for W. C. Purdy, 81 who died in a Shreveport hospital was held here Sunday at 2 P.M. Services were conducted in Crothers Funeral Chapel with the Rev Dan Lott and the Rev. William Parkerson officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Purdy was a retired member of the International Revenue Department in Baton Rouge, and a member of the Episcopal Church. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marvin Whitfield, and a son, William Purdy, both of Tallulah. Pallbearers were Billy Post, Louis Buckner, Don Sevier, Barton Sevier, Jim Sevier, and W. W. Ziegler.
