All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Laura Josephine Pryor - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 15, 1998 Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Josephine Pryor (Mama Jo), age 84, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home chapel in Tallulah, with the Rev. Bernard Canterbury officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mrs. Pryor was born Jan. 15, 1914, in Hamilton, Miss. She died Sunday, July 12, 1998, at the Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Richmond after a short illness. Mrs. Pryor completed training as a Licensed Practical Nurse or LPN on Sept. 9, 1957, and worked as a nurse at the Madison Parish Hospital for more than 30 years, retiring in 1990 at age 77. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Pryor Sr., and by one grandson, Dwayne Keyes. Survivors included one son, Raymond C. Pryor Jr. of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Bobbye Lee Keyes and others.) Pallbearers included Gray Wilson, Ron Ellis, Will Xxxx (and others.) Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah was in charge of arrangements.
