All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Angie Ball Powell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 18, 1998 Funeral services for Mrs. Angie Ball Powell, age 90, of Tallulah, held at 2 p.m. Thursday Dec. 10, 1998 in the First Methodist Church of Tallulah with the Rev. Vining officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Powell died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998, in Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge after a brief illness. She was born in Greene County, Miss., and had lived in Tallulah for 70 years. She was a retired assistant cashier at the Southern National Bank of Tallulah. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tallulah and member of Madison Chapter 94, Order of the Eastern Star; she served three years as Worthy Matron and also District Deputy Grand Matron of District xxx from 1977-78. Survivors include a son, Charles Edward Powell Jr. of Helena, Ark. and a daughter, Mary Ann Midyett of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Jettie McLendon of Theodore. Ala., and Delores Turnage of Hesperia. Calif.: one brother, Henry Newton Ball of Amory, Miss.: six grandchildren: and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Earl Martin, George McDonald, Richard Powell, Greg Hurley, Jack Midyett, Ken Midyett, Bruce Powell and Alan Powell. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah was in charge of arrangements.
