Pollard - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post December 9, 1950 EDGAR POLLARD OF TALLULAH DIES SUDDENLY Worked For Tallulah Oil Mill And Operated Post In Café TALLULAH, Dec. 9-Edgar N. Pollard, resident of Madison parish for the past 17 years, died suddenly here last night. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was 45 years old. Mr. Pollard was an employee of the Tallulah Oil Mill and he and his wife operated the Post-Inn Cafe. He was a native of Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lydia Pollard; two children, Barbara and William E. Pollard; three brothers, J. S., P. E., and H. L. Pollard of Oak Grove, La., and tour sisters, Mrs. C. G. Schrell of Ruston, and Mrs. W. H. Rudy, Mrs. Aubrey Greer and Mrs. Wilma Tyson of Oak Grove. Funeral services are incomplete. Crothers funeral home is in charge. From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 15, 1950 Edgar N. Pollard Funeral Held Here Sunday Afternoon Edgar N. Pollard, 45-year old resident of Tallulah, died suddenly Friday night at the Madison Sanitarium following a brief illness. Death was attributed to a heart attack. A native of Indiana, Mr. Pollard moved to Oak Grove, La. at the age of 6, and resided there until seventeen years ago, when he moved to Madison Parish. He was an employee of the Tallulah Oil Mill, and he and his wife operated the Post Inn Cafe. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Tallulah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Shirley Briggs, officiating, assist of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Internment followed under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Pall bearers were C. A. Sparling, C. E. Goss, Nelson Goss, Maxwell Yerger, J. W. Davis, J. P. Laird, Abernathy of Oak Grove, and J. B. Petty. Honorary pall bearers were J. L. Rush, L. G. Storey, W. F. Powell, Ernest Stewart, M. C. Stone, A. N. Duke, J. W. Love, Jack McCaffrey and M. B. Christian. Besides his wife, Mrs. Lydia Pollard, he is survived by one son, William E. Pollard; one daughter, Barbara Pollard; his mother, Mrs. Sarah Pollard, Oak Grove ; three brothers, J. S., P. E., and H. L. Pollard, all of Oak Grove; four sisters, Mrs. C. H. Schrell, Ruston; Mrs. W. H. Rudy, Mrs. Aubrey Greer, and Mrs. Wilma Tyson, all of Oak Grove.
