Placke - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 18, 1982 Services for Harry W. Placke were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tallulah First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rupert Xxxxxs officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Placke died Friday at Madison Parish Hospital after an illness. He was a native of Pittsburgh and a resident of Tallulah for 26 years. He was the founder of Placke Insurance Agency. He a member of the Masonic Order, the Tallulah Lions Club, Scot-Nicols-Voak Post 100 of American Legion and Tallulah First United Methodist Church. He was a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Clair Placke of Tallulah; two sons, Allan Placke of West Monroe and Dale Placke of Tallulah; two sisters, Lois Placke and Shirley Placke, both of Pittsburgh; a brother, Clifford Placke of Tampa, Fla. ; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jerry Beene, Jon Burchardt, Jake Bryant, Harry Howell, Jack Millikin, Harvey Mounger, Morris Munson and Robert Wood. Honorary pallbearers were Drs. H.S. Provine, L.P. Neumann and Karl Hatten, members of the Tallulah Lions Club and members of the American Legion Post 100.
