Pippen - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 4, 1994 Services for Mrs. Fay H. Pippen were held Friday at Sondheimer First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wendell Russell and the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial service was at Memorial Park Cemetery with Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah in charge. Mrs. Pippen died Wednesday April 27, at Whispering Pines Hospice in Jackson. She was 80. She was a native of Bernice, La., and had lived in the Tallulah area for many years. She was a mother and homemaker and a member of Sondheimer First Baptist Church and president of WMU. She also taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the Crepe Myrtle Home Demonstration Club, the Tallulah Home Gardeners and a charter member of the East Carroll Parish Home Demonstration Club. She is survived by her husband, Harvey Nolan Pippen of Sondheimer; three sons, Harvey James Pippen of Longview, Texas, Wesley D. Pippen of Flagler Beach, Fla., and Charlie Michael Pippen of Sondheimer; one daughter; Clara Jean Nesbit of Jackson; one brother, Garland Heard of Farmerville, La.; one sister, Ester Copeland of Ruston, La.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Paul Marsh, William Marsh, Jimmy Marsh, Larry Marsh, Billy Marsh, John Ulmer, Devon Bullock and George Shepherd. Honorary pallbearers were Howard Wise, Hans Bullock and the Board of Directors of Southern National Bank of Tallulah. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
