Pierce - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 29, 1993 Funeral services for Mr. William S. Pierce, 74, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Scarf officiating. Burial was at Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Pierce died Sunday at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. He was born and reared in Tallulah and graduated from Louisiana Tech with a degree in engineering. He served three years in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 308 in Tallulah and a former grand master of Knights Templar. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and retired as a chemical engineer with American Oil Co. of El Dorado, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Mary Dale Pierce of Tallulah; two daughters, Toni Ellis and Randi Peters, both of Nashville, Tenn. and five grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Tallulah.
