All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Elizabeth Sinclair Pierce - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 21, 1971 Mrs. Elizabeth Pierce dies at 95 following illness Mrs. Elizabeth Sinclair Pierce died Tuesday, January 12 in Delta Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was 95 years old. Mrs. Pierce, a former teacher in Tallulah High School, retired in 1947 after teaching for 23 years. She was a member of the Tallulah Methodist Church and was active in church work until a few years ago. Funeral services were held Friday, January 15, at 10 a. m. at Tallulah Methodist Church with the Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Survivors include one son, William S. Pierce, El Dorado, Ark.; two granddaughters, Miss Toni Pierce, Denver, Colo., and Miss Randi Pierce, El Dorado. Pallbearers were Judge C. C. Adams, Jeff Goza, Shields Bray, Manfred Gustafson, Maurice Ursery, Bobby Joe Lee, Ralph Linton and Paul Smith.
