Peters - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 19, 1978 Graveside services for Benjamin J. Peters, 75, of Tallulah, were held Memorial Park Cemetery here with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Peters died early Friday in Vicksburg, Miss. after a brief illness. A native of Indiana, Mr. Peters lived in Madison Parish for 30 years, and was a retired accounting clerk for Chicago Mill & Lumber Co. and a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include six sons, Barney D. Peters of Altus, Okla., Paul E. Peters of Pioneer, James Ward Peters of Marietta, Ga., John R. Peters of Homer, Curtis C. Peters of Shreveport, and Ben J. Peters Jr. of Brentwood, Tenn.; two daughters, Mrs. Ida Berger of Port Allen and Miss Julia Mae Peters of Pineville; and 18 grandchildren.
